Work party slated for Johnson Creek

The Johnson Creek Watershed Council will host Watershed Wide, 10 work party events from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, March 4, in Gresham, Southeast Portland, Happy Valley and Clackamas County. Build a healthier watershed by planting trees, weeding, mulching and more.

The locations in Gresham include Jenne Creek Headwaters, Chastain Creek, Springwater Woods Wetland and Badger Creek Culvert. There will also be a pizza party after the event from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. in Gresham at Wall Street Pizza, 201 N. Main Ave.

The locations of the Gresham-area cleanups are:

• Jenne Creek Headwaters, 2370 S.W. Border Way. Street parking is available, as is access by bus line number 87.

• Chastain Creek, 1511 S.W. 10th Court. This area will be hosted in conjunction with Friends of Trees.

• Springwater Woods, 2123 S.E. Hogan Road. Park in the lot behind the Gresham Department of Environmental Services Operations Center.

• Badger Culvert, 26730 S.E. Rugg Road. Street parking is available.
