The tree tipped over around 11 a.m on Monday, Feb. 13, blocking four lanes of traffic and knocking out power to nearby residents.

Technicians from Portland General Electric think a second tree may snap soon. They're waiting for an arborist to assess the situation.

Until then, drivers should consider using an alternate route, like Southwest 257th Avenue.

"Right now it's under the Sheriff's authority," Transportation spokesman Mike Pullen said.
