WinterVille organizers expect more than 2,500 guests for holiday festival.

OUTLOOK PHOTO - WinterVille organizers put up an estimated 40,000 lights across the Zimmerman Heritage Farmhouse and property. WinterVille is a new holiday festival taking place at the historic Zimmerman Heritage Farmhouse at 17111 N.E. Sandy Blvd.

It features local performances by high school choirs, a winter beer and cider garden for guests who are old enough to partake, tours through the decorated Zimmerman House, local food and craft vendors, a children's craft area and free photos with Santa.

East County Historical Organization and Treadway Events partnered to create the event in the hope of bringing the community together and raising money for the organization.

"We wanted to get an event together that would allow the Zimmerman House to be recognized while also bringing holiday cheer to the area," said Brandon Treadway, owner of Treadway Events. "We would like to do this again next year and make it a running event."

WinterVille opened last weekend. For those who missed out, it will be back this weekend as well, running Dec. 16-18 from 6-10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, 6-9:30 p.m. Sunday. Adult admission is $12 and for children its $8, which includes a free photo with Santa.

OUTLOOK PHOTO - Inside the Zimmerman House visitors can enjoy holiday decorations and music while taking a guided tour. The organizers expect they will have anywhere between 2,000 to 2,500 visitors when its all said and done. Each night will have between 12 and 15 vendors — ranging from informational booths, local businesses and food carts.

But the biggest draw is the chance to take a guided tour through the Zimmerman Heritage Farmhouse and marvel at the estimated 40,000 lights across the property.

Several $2 off coupons are available at local Parkrose and Gresham businesses.

In addition to the activities taking place during WinterVille at the Zimmerman Heritage Farm, organizers held a toy and food drive benefiting Toy and Joy Makers and SnowCap Community Charities. Those who donate a canned food item or new, unwrapped toy, will also receive a $2 discount toward admission.
