Woman dies in crash west of Boring

A 57-year-old woman, Cheryl Elaine Hill of Oregon City, died at a Portland hospital following a two-vehicle crash Sunday night on Highway 212 near Southeast Peterson Road west of Boring, according to a press release from Oregon State Police. Hill was the driver of one of the vehicles in the crash. The driver of the other vehicle, 18-year-old Amanda J. Graham of Boring, has been hospitalized and is in critical condition.

The accident occurred at approximately 11:30 p.m. when Graham was driving a 1992 Dodge Dakota pickup eastbound on Highway 212, when the truck crossed the double center line and collided head-on with a 2000 Mazda Protege driven by Hill. The cause of the crash remains under investigation. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts and there was no evidence of drugs or alcohol.
