Three arrested in Blue Lake Park murder

Police have confirmed the arrest of three people in connection with the shooting death of 35-year-old Tiffany Jenks at Blue Lake Regional Park in Fairview last week.

Fairview Police Chief Ken Johnson confirmed the arrests, but would not release any additional information until he had a chance to speak with detectives.

Two of the suspects were booked into the Multnomah County Detention Center shortly before 12:30 a.m. Friday. According to jail records, 38-year-old Joshua Robinett and 40-year-old Michelle Worden-Brosey have been charged with one count each of conspiracy to commit murder and hindering prosecution.

The third suspect, 25-year-old Daniel Bruynell, was arrested in Oakland, Calif., on Monday, the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office confirmed. He is being held in the Santa Rita Jail on a warrant hold out of Oregon for a count of murder.

On the morning of Oct. 8, Jenks’ body was found in a grassy area just outside the park entrance. The Multnomah County Medical Examiner’s Office determined that she died from a single gunshot wound to the head. The East County Major Crimes Team was assigned to help Fairview police with the investigation.

Law enforcement sources confirmed that police quickly focused their attention on the three suspects early in the investigation. Last week, law enforcement agencies throughout the region were notified that the three were wanted for questioning. The Longview Daily News reported earlier this week that that the two were located and detained in Kelso, Wash.

Court records show that on Oct. 11, the Multnomah County District Attorney’s Office filed a criminal information sheet and affidavit for an arrest warrant against Robinette and Brosey. The criminal information sheet, which outlines the charge, listed one count of murder for each suspect.

That same day, a Multnomah County Circuit Court judge granted the DA’s request to have the information and affidavit sealed. It’s not known why detectives booked the two suspects into jail under the charge of “conspiracy to commit murder” and “hindering prosecution.”

Robinett and Worden-Brosey are expected to make their first court appearance Friday afternoon, jail staff told reporters. Bruynell's next court date is Nov. 6.
