Perhaps Estacada is a spot marked with an "X" on someone's map, because it's certainly home to many treasures.
This was evident in the city's annual Fourth of July parade, the theme of which was "Treasures of Estacada."
Beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 4, the parade drew numerous participants, ranging from Boy Scouts and Mayor Sean Drinkwine, to clowns and participants accompanied by logging trucks or friendly animals.
The grand marshals of this year's event were Jane Reid and Gloria Polzin, who represented the city's thriving arts community.
The parade route began at Estacada High School, and participants jovially traveled downtown as they celebrated Independence Day.
