Eagle Creek family tied up while home robbed

Five masked and gloved people robbed a home in the 22500 block of Southeast Van Curen Road in Eagle Creek in the early morning hours of Friday, June 27.

According to a press release issued by the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office, the homeowner and his family were restrained with flexible ties while firearms, cash and other expensive items were taken from the home.

The victim said one of the assailants spoken in “broken English.”

Authorities said there may be a connection between the family and the suspects as the robbers seemed to be aware of the location of certain items in the home.

The suspects drove away in a silver four-door sedan.

Deputies responded to the scene at about 2:07 a.m.

The homeowner was treated for minor injuries sustained during the robbery.

Authorities encourage those with information on the incident to call the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office tip line at 503-723-4949.
