Police Log

Information for this column comes from Sandy Police Department public records. The Sandy Police Department provides service in Estacada. Officers recently filed reports on the following incidents.

ARRESTS

Charles E. Peppers, 60, of Estacada, was arrested in the 100 block of East First Avenue on Wednesday, May 7. There was a Clackamas County warrant for his arrest. He was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail. Bail was set at $25,000.

Lisa J. Jones, 34, of Estacada, was arrested in the 300 block of Highway 224 on Friday, May 9. There had been a Molalla Municipal Court warrant for failure to appear in court on third-degree theft charges and a Clackamas County parole violation warrant for Jones’ arrest. She was taken to the Clackamas County Jail and held without bail.

An officer attempted to pull over Steven A. Orr, 39, of Estacada for failing to use a seat belt on Saturday, May 10. Orr allegedly tried to escape in his vehicle then fled on foot before he was taken into custody near the 300 block of Northwest Cary Street around 4:28 p.m. Orr was arrested on allegations of attempting to elude police in a vehicle, reckless driving and misdemeanor driving with a suspended license. He also was cited for possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. Orr was lodged in the Clackamas County Jail on $30,000 bail.

BURGLARY

On Monday, May 5, police were told that a lock had been cut and items were stolen from a storage unit in the 2000 block of Northwest Campus Drive.

EXCLUSION FROM PROPERTY

Police banned a man from a residence in the 500 block of Southeast Mountain View Lane on Tuesday, May 6. He will be arrested if he returns to the residence.

HARASSMENT

On Wednesday, May 7, a school official told police that a 13-year-old student harassed a teacher. The student confessed to grabbing the teacher’s hand twice in an attempt to stop them from turning off a computer. The police report will be forwarded to the Clackamas County Juvenile Department for consideration of charges.

THEFT

On Friday, May 9, a student told police that a camouflage-patterned Dakine backpack had been stolen from Clackamas River Elementary. There are no suspects.
