Sabor Latino robbed at gunpoint

According to police, a man with a black bandanna over his face robbed the owner of Sabor Latino at gunpoint in the wee hours of the night before Valentine’s Day.

The man was described as a white male in his 30s wearing gloves, a black baseball hat, black sweatshirt and a bandanna over his face.

He reportedly was armed with a revolver and shot a round into the ceiling.

No one was injured.

Sandy/Estacada Police officers and Clackamas County Sheriff’s deputies were dispatched to the scene around 1:42 a.m., Friday, Feb. 14.

They searched the area with the help of a tracking dog, but have not identified a suspect at this time.

Officer Jason Bickle of the Sandy Police Department said that local businesses have no cause for concern as the incident was likely isolated.

“We think it was completely random,” Bickle said.
