Police Log

Information for this column comes from Sandy Police Department public records. The Sandy Police Department provides service in Estacada. Officers recently filed reports on the following incidents.

ARRESTS

Rhianna M. Greenwood was pulled over near Northeast Main and Northeast Second Street at about 8:50 a.m. Monday, Dec. 2. She was arrested for endangering a child passenger and cited for driving with a suspended license. Greenwood was not taken into custody. The case will be forwarded to the District Attorney’s office for prosecution.

An Estacada police officer responded with a Clackamas County Sheriff’s deputy to a car crash at Northwest Sixth and Main Street on Thursday, Dec. 5. The deputy arrested one of the drivers for driving under the influence of intoxicants.

BURGLARY

An officer responded to a report of a burglary of a home in the 300 block of Southeast Main Street on Thursday, Dec. 5. The officer was told that someone had broken in through the front door and stolen some property. There are no suspects.

CRIMINAL MISCHIEF

On Wednesday, Dec. 4, an officer was told that someone had attempted to break into a mailbox and caused damage in the 700 block of North Broadway Street during the night. The victim has video surveillance of the area and will inform the police when she has more information.

THEFT

Around 4:10 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3, an officer responded to a report of a theft in the 400 block of Southwest Forest Road. The officer was told that someone had stolen about $40 worth of soda cans from the backyard during the night.

OTHER INCIDENTS

On Monday, Dec. 2, an officer assisted an elderly man with a mental-health problem near 800 Northwest Wade Street. The man’s family asked the police to confiscate his firearms.

On Tuesday, Dec. 3, an officer served an attendance citation to the mother of a 15-year-old Estacada High School student.

A 15-year-old boy left school with two friends at 11:30 a.m. Friday, Dec. 6, but did not return to school. School staff called the student’s mother. She asked them to call the police to report her son as missing. The teen was entered as a runaway in the Law Enforcement Database/National Crime Information Center.

At 4 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 8, officers responded to reports of a domestic disturbance in the 500 block of Southwest Dogwood Street. They determined that no crime had occurred.
