Kelly, Agost, Brosseau finalists


Three local athletes are finalists in the balloting for Oregon Sports Awards honors.

Clackamas High senior Austin Kelly is a finalist for High School Baseball Player of the Year; Clackamas senior Taylor Agost is a finalist for Volleyball Player of the Year; and Oregon City senior Beau Brosseau is a finalist for Track and Field Athlete of the Year.

Other finalists are Kyle Beam (Hood River) and Cooper Stiles (Sheldon) in baseball; Saskia McNairy (Lakeridge) and Payton Rund (West Albany) in volleyball; and Mitch Homing (Sheldon) and Matthew Maton (Summit) in boys track and field.

The winners will be announced at the Oregon Sports Awards Banquet, scheduled for Sunday, Feb. 9, at Nike headquarters in Beaverton.

Awards are based on performances in 2013.
