Cascade Pacific Plymouth Club is hosting its 11th annual Hot Dog-Ust Day Cruise-In & Car Show on Saturday, Aug. 12, on the campus of Clackamas Community College in Oregon City, the third year of concentrated fundraising for CCC Automotive Technology scholarships.

It's not just Plymouth owners who are invited to the event. Clackamas-based Cascade Pacific Plymouth Club organizers say it's important to stress that all cars are welcome. The club was founded in 2000 and currently has more than 100 members.

"Like all old-car fanciers, we're aware that our hobby is aging: People aren't interested in either cars or clubs the way they once were," Ealy said. "Our treasury is strong, and so is our sense of community. This year, there's a Cascade Pacific Plymouth Club Scholarship Fund at Clackamas Community College, and tax-deductible donations direct to the fund are welcomed. A portion of the show's profits will go to the scholarship fund, along with the pass-through donations that go directly to the fund.

The event opens at 9 a.m. with the traditional car-show awards, raffles and a 50/50 jackpot. Cost is $25 per car, and the driver gets a free hot-dog lunch.

Register at CascadePacificPlymouth.org and avoid lines the day of the show.
