Benefit to help give a girl a hand

A second-annual tree sale will benefit a two-part surgery to create functioning fingers on each of an Oak Grove girl’s hands.

Poppy is the daughter of Noelle Myers, who also has an 11-year-old son named Kieran. Born with a rare genetic disorder called Apert syndrome, Poppy is expected to face many more life-saving surgeries on her heart, skull and brain.

Grand and noble fir trees, 6 to 8 feet tall, will be available from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday Dec. 6, through Sunday Dec. 8; $35 for any tree you choose. Participants also are invited to drink some cider, see Santa, pet the animals, go on a scavenger hunt, browse a bake sale, purchase homemade gifts and join in the caroling at the
