Ochoco Elementary School PTO meeting starts at 6:30 p.m. free Child Care is Provided. The PTO group is working on Family Fun Night and on forming a Playground Committee. Parents and grandparents of the children at Ochoco Elementary are encouraged to attend.
The Great Start Community Screening, a free cognitive/play, motor, speech/language, vision and hearing screening for children birth through 4 years of age, will take place from 8:45 a.m to 2 p.m. at the Larson Learning Center, 757 E. First St. in Prineville. To make an appointment call 447-7665.

There will be a regular scheduled meeting of the Crook County Parks and Recreation District Board of Directors at 5:15 p.m. at the district office, 398 NE Fairview in Prineville.
The Crook County Garden Club will meet at 1:30 p.m. at the Catholic Church Parish Hall on First Street. The speaker will be Jesse Taverina who will speak on sun catchers and framed press dried flowers. Everyone is welcome. Call 447-5981 for more information.
CCHS Jazz and Concert Band will perform at the high school auditorium beginning at 7 p.m. No charge for admission and everyone is welcome.
The Sons of the American Legion will host a chicken fried steak dinner from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Vets Club. Cost is $6.50 per person. Music with Jan and Jo will follow dinner.
Central Oregon Chapter 213 of the National Association of Retired & Active Federal Employees will hold their March meeting in the Redmond Senior Center from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The speaker will be Mike Powell, Dir. of Pharmacy, COCH. His subject will be `Important Interactions of Rx, O-T-C, & Herbal Medications'. Members & others interested are welcome. Lunch is available at noon. For information contact Arnold Berlage 548-3312.
Sally Burger will present a student's composer recital beginning at 7 p.m. at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. Students will each present a piece from a famous composer and give a brief talk about that composer. Music will be in piano, harp and flute. A reception will follow. There is no charge for admission and everyone is invited and welcome to attend.
The Soroptimist's International of Prineville will host a Family Bingo Night at the Senior Center. Doors open at 6 p.m. and bingo starts at 6:30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
The Quilt-a-thon continues at the Soroptimist's Senior Center from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. A variety of quilting activities are planned and volunteers of all sewing capacities are welcome. Call 447-4136, ext. 3239 or 3275 for more information.
The Prineville and Bend Christian Women's Club will host a dinner beginning at 6 p.m. at the Diamond B. Chuckwagon in Tumalo. Speakers are Dan and Tambry Brose who will talk about their upcoming move to Rwanda where Dan will serve at the Country Director for World Relief. Music will feature the Booher family. Cost is $20 for adults and $10 for children 8-12. Everyone is welcome. Reservations are required and are available by calling 447-6782.
The AAL Branch 4246 will host a St. Patrick's Day dinner to benefit community respite care. The dinner will be held at Our Saviors Lutheran Church from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Cost is $7 for adults and $3.50 for 12 and under.
