A single-vehicle rollover Tuesday night at the east end of Prineville on Highway 26 caused moderate injuries to the driver.
At 8:07 p.m., deputies from Crook County Sheriff's Office and officers from Prineville Police Department were dispatched to the scene of the crash, near mile post 21. When deputies and officers arrived, they located a 2003 Mitsubishi Outlander off the south side of the highway.
Authorities determined that the Mitsubishi Outlander had been traveling eastbound on the highway when it went off of the south side of the road. The vehicle then traveled into a canal and appeared to have rolled due to extensive damage to the vehicle's roof. It came to a stop in the canal facing northwest.
The driver, 19-year-old Adriana Wood of Prineville, sustained moderate injuries during the crash and was transported to St. Charles Hospital in Prineville. There were no other occupants in the vehicle.
Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. The investigation is ongoing and no citations have been issued at this time.
