Cheerleading: Canby's Kiersten O'Shaughnessy places third at Lakeridge competition

The junior is representing the Cougars as an individual this season.

The only member of Canby’s cheerleading squad participating as an individual, O’Shaughnessy completed a 1-minute routine that was scored on tumbling, originality, dance and ability to involve the crowd.

O’Shaughnessy, who is a third-year varsity cheerleader under Cougars coach Karlie Richardson, was up against students from Lake Oswego, Sherwood and North Marion high schools.

O’Shaughnessy was scheduled to participate in the Crusader Challenge at Jesuit this past weekend. She plans to wrap up her competitive season Feb. 8 at the Last Chance Cheer Competition in Tualatin.
