Workshop set for area horse owners

Clackamas Soil and Water Conservation District will hold a workshop titled, 'Dealing with Mud and Drainage, plus Great Ideas for Manure Management,' for local horse owners on Saturday, April 8, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Molalla Adult Community Center.

Guest speaker will be Alayne Blickle of Horses for Clean Water, who will present approaches to horse and land care.

The day will start at 8:30 a.m. with coffee and a chance to visit with the speaker, with class starting at 9 a.m. The afternoon will end in a field trip to a local stable for tour of practices that will make your chores easier and life better for your horses.

Alayne will cover practical ideas for: Reducing mud and managing manure, Increasing chore-efficiency, decreasing fly populations, improving horse health, and creating a horse property you can be proud of.
