‘Fiddler on the Roof’ setfor community theater

Canby Community Theatre will present “Fiddler on the Roof” Friday and Saturday, as well as July 31, Aug. 1 and 2. All shows are at 7 p.m., with a 2 p.m. matinee Saturday.

All seats are $12 and tickets will be available at Cutforth’s Thriftway, www.instantseats.com or at the door.

Alive In 1865 - Living History Days event is Saturday

The Old Aurora Colony Museum will present its Living History Days Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the museum’s courtyard. The event will include living history demonstrations and hands-on activities, including using grist stones to grind flour, using pitcher pumps and dipping candles. Regular museum admission is free for children under 5, $2 for students, $5 for seniors and AAA members, and $6 for adults.

Balls, Bait and Bullets triathlon set for Saturday

The ultimate outdoorsman’s triathalon, a contest that includes golfing, fishing, and shooting, will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Canby Rod & Gun Club. Balls, Bait and Bullets will benefit local high school athletics and the Make-a-Wish of Oregon.

Canby community access channel will hold movie night Aug. 1

CTV Channel 5 will hold a ‘movie in the park’ event Friday, Aug. 1, at Wait Park. The movie will be “The Princess Bride” and begins at dusk.

Aurora American Legion to hold pancake breakfast at Colony Days

The Aurora American Legion will hold its annual all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast Saturday, Aug. 9, from 7-11 a.m. at the Legion hall at 21510 Main St.

Newly installed leaders Amber Petersen, Aurora 110 American Legion Auxiliary; Seth Fisher, Post 110 Legion; and Brian Mulbey, detachment commander, Squadron 110, SAL (Sons of the American Legion), invite visitors to breakfast as a start to Aurora's annual Colony Days festivities.

The post will also have a fundraiser rummage sale through Saturday to benefit veterans at the Portland VAMC.

Fourth annual Party at the Farm slated for Aug. 23

The annual Party at the Farm will be held from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23, at the historic Stauffer-Will Farm. The evening will include appetizers, grilled salmon and tri-tip buffet, dessert, a wall of wine, beer tasting, and silent and oral auctions. Proceeds to benefit the Old Aurora Colony Museum.

Summer free lunch program continues into August

The Canby School District’s Summer Lunch Program continues through August for all children ages 1 to 18.

The free meals will be offered at Wait Park and Bethany Church, Monday through Friday, from noon to 12:30 p.m. through Aug. 29.

No registration required.

CHS class of 2004 planning 10th reunion in September

The Canby High School class of 2004 is planning its 10-year reunion for Saturday, Sept. 6, from 6 to 10 p.m. at McMenamins Old Church and Pub in Wilsonville. Price will be $35 for an individual or $60 per couple, which includes one drink ticket per person (beer, wine or soda) and buffet dinner.
