Magical music of the past comes alive behind the guitars, drums and synthesizers of today each July in Canby.
While bands like Journey, Guns n Roses and Van Halen likely wouldnt perform at a small, intimate venue in Canby, the next best thing will tribute bands that bring the sound and feel of classic bands to life.
Thats the feel that Harefest 4 will deliver over two days, July 19-20, in a field next to the Wild Hare Saloon & Cafe. Presented by Wild Hare and J-Fell, Harefest is one of the premier northwest tribute band festivals, delivering a dose of nostalgia to the summer concert series circuit.
The event, for ages 21 and older, will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday, and then kick off again Sunday at 1 p.m., and draw upwards of 4,000 people to the site.
The lineup will be: (Saturday, July 19) Gates open at 4 p.m., 5 p.m. – Ants in the Kitchen (Rod Stewart), 6 p.m. – Random Pressure (Styx-REO Speedwagon), 7 p.m. – Unchained (Van Halen), 8:15 p.m. – Steelhorse (Bon Jovi), 9:30 p.m. – Shoot to Thrill (AC/DC) and 10:45 p.m. Appetite for Deception (Guns N Roses).
