{img:42841}Once again, Canby’s summer will be filtered through song and music as the 2014 Slice of Summer Concert Series approaches.

As always, the concerts are free and held on four consecutive Sundays 6-8 p.m., at Canby’s Wait Park.

  • The series begins July 20 with Canby country music songwriter and performer, Joni Harms.
  • On July 27, the smooth vocals of Tony Starlite will entertain the crowd.
  • On Aug. 3, the Marion County Citizens Band will play a variety of music from its vast Oktoberfest and pop repertoire
  • The series will close on Aug. 10 with the Black Swan Jazz Band delivering its distinctive jazz sound.
  • Donations are needed to support Slice of Summer as presented to the Canby community by the Canby Music Boosters.

The Canby Music Boosters is a nonprofit organization of parents, educators and community members that work year round to support instrumental music in all Canby Schools.

Previous Slice supporters will be contacted soon.
