City offers guidelines for summer park use
Summer is just around the corner and with it comes increased use of the citys parks. City parks include: Community Park, Locust Street Park, Maple Street Park, Legacy Park, Northwood Park, Eco Park and Wait Park.
Some reminders about park use include that alcohol is prohibited in city parks. While barbecues are allowed in city parks, no damage to turf or picnic tables is allowed. Parks do not have power available and users are not allowed to drive cars into parks.
The city only takes reservations for Wait Park but not the other city parks. Canby Kids coordinates use of some parks for several sports including softball, soccer, football, baseball and lacrosse.
Wait Park can be reserved for the entire park or just the gazebo through the Main Street program. For more information on reserving Wait Park, call 503-266-0772.
