Champoeg board seeks new board members
The Friends of Historic Champoeg board is recruiting for five new board members.
Prospective new board members are asked to help maintain and improve Champoeg State Park.
The Friends are looking for dedicated and energetic folks with fresh ideas who want to contribute at the board level to help shape current and future activities supporting interpretive programs at Champoeg State Heritage Area.
There are many areas to help out including: Champoeg Promise school program, living history programs, costumed interpreter programs, Champoeg Store merchandising, Historic Butteville Store merchandising, fundraising, event planning, grant writing, recruiting, membership coordination, IT support, general office help and potential new areas to help out such as Champoegs natural history, environmental education, biking-hiking trails, disc golf and more.

The board meets the third Thursday of each month at the Champoeg Visitor Center for about two hours.
