Light bright is out of sight
Rebecca Bursheim devoted part of her holidays transforming her house, trees and front yard into a dazzling light display.
Her decorated Southeast Ninth Avenue home was the first-place winner in the annual Canby Community Holiday Lighting contest.
White lights trimmed the house and depicted reindeer grazing or ready to rise into a night sky.
Large spherical ornaments hang from the bare limbs of a tree in the corner of the front yard. Their matte surfaces turned reflections of the lighted home and figures into impressionistic images worthy of Monet or Renoir.
Other winners in the lighting contest included Pam Carr, South Locust Street, and Art Nagel, North Ponderosa Street.
