And the verdict is in. Canbys annual lighting contest didnt disappoint.
The Community Holiday Lighting judges had a great evening driving around and enjoyed all the hard work, said Bev Doolittle, executive director, Canby Area Chamber of Commerce. Making the effort of putting up the Christmas lights and displays is a gift to their neighbors and the families that love to adventure out and look at them.
While out, the judges ran into a couple families at different houses as well as a group of students out on a flatbed going around caroling.
The creativity this year is at an all time high, said one of the judges. Its so great to see our community continue to show their Christmas Spirit. We hope families take advantage of a fun evening driving through our community because it makes Whoville look boring.

As we drove around this fine community we saw so many homes that just look spectacular and should be part of the Community Lighting Contest, said Doolittle. Here are a few we hope will enter next year. Take the time to drive past these also. Merry Christmas and thank you for letting us enjoy the 2013 Community Lighting Contest.
