Book clubs focus on new works
Enjoy meeting new people and talking about good books through one of two book groups offered at the Canby Public Library.
The two book groups meet monthly and offer something for everyone.
Both groups meet at the library in front of the fireplace for an informal discussion, lasting about one hour. Selected book titles are available through the library system. The public is invited to join.
Below is the selection of books for the current reading season.
Fiction Book Group:
Nov. 21 – Mrs. Kennedy and Me by Clint Hill

Jan. 16 – Lonesome Dove by Larry McMurtry
Feb. 20 – Bridge of Scarlet Leaves by Kristina McMorris

April 17 – The Boy Who Harnessed the Wind by W. Kamkwamba
May 15 – The Bridge of San Luis Rey by Thornton Wilder
June 19 – Back to Blood by Tom Wolfe
History Book Group:
Nov. 20 – The Big Burn: Teddy Roosevelt and the Fire that Saved America by Timothy Egan
December -- no meeting
Jan. 22 – Catherine the Great: Portrait of a Woman by R. K. Massie
