I have been delighted the past two weeks to see stories on the robotics programs at both Canby and North Marion high schools.
It is clear that there are dedicated teachers and mentors in this area that see the value in helping young people explore the world of technology. I can't think of anything more exciting for these young people than to get real-life experience building and operating robots under competition conditions -- and succeeding on so many levels. What a tremendous experience.
The efforts and invaluable learning experience that is being offered these young people shouldn't be undervalued.
And the fact that both schools have such apparently active and vibrant tech and robotics atmospheres is really exciting to note.
Again, thanks for shining a spotlight on these high school students and the people who are so valuable in their lives.
It makes a difference, I believe.
