Locals make deans list at George Fox University
Ten area residents have been named to the fall semester deans list at George Fox University.
Seven Canby students were named to the list: Daniel Clifford, senior, marketing; Zach Feely, senior, music education; Hannah McFarland, senior, biology; Abby Mountford, senior, nursing; Hollie McCulley, senior, social work; Malia Hansen, sophomore, music; and Caleb Gieger, freshman, nursing.
Three Aurora students also were named to the list: Halee Pyatt, senior, elementary education: Jordan Nelson, junior, English; and Serena Sweningson, sophomore, biology.
Students must earn a 3.5 grade average or better to be named to the deans list.
Wiseman makes deans list at Eastern Oregon
Alexandra Wiseman, of Canby, is among 531 students named to the fall term dean's list at Eastern Oregon University. To qualify, students must earn a 3.5 grade average or better.
Pair make deans list at Hesston College
Two Canby area residents have been named to the fall semester deans list and honor roll at Hesston (Kan.) College.
Karli Mast, a freshman from Hubbard, was named to the deans list. She is the daughter of Gerald and Sheryl Mast.
Tyler Roth, a sophomore from Canby was named to the honor roll. He is the son of Jerry and Wendy Roth.
Grade averages 3.90 to 4.00 earn a place on the deans list and 3.50 to 3.89, on the honor roll.
Hesston, located 30 miles north of Wichita, is a two-year liberal arts college of the Mennonite Church USA
Canby grad makes West Virginia Wesleyan deans list
Nicole Friedemann, of Canby, has been named to the 2013 fall semester dean's list at West Virginia Wesleyan College. Wesleyan's dean's List requires students to earn a grade point average of 3.5 - 3.9 in 12 or more semester hours.
Myers, Burt earn academic honors at Gonzaga University
Auroras Paige Myers has made the deans list at Gonzaga University fall semester 2013. Students must earn a 3.5 to 3.69 grade-point average to be listed.
Canbys Brian Burt has made the presidents list at Gonzaga University President's fall semester 2013. Students must earn a 3.7 to 4.0 grade-point average to be listed.
