NMSD superintendent finalists to meet the public

The three finalists for the superintendent position at North Marion School District will be available to meet with the public on Wednesday evening.

From 5 to 6 p.m., the public is invited to North Marion Middle School to meet finalists Russ Pickett, Dawn Moorefield and Ginger Redlinger.

Pickett will be in the library, Moorefield in the commons and Redlinger in the activity room.

Moorefield is a longtime administrator at Cascade School District, Pickett is the former superintendent of the Monroe School District and Redlinger is currently the director of the Oregon Trail Academy in the Oregon Trail School District.

The public forum will follow a staff forum scheduled from 3 to 4:30 p.m. in the same locations.

There will be cookies and punch available at both forums.

The public forum will be followed by final interviews conducted by the North Marion School Board.

The board plans to have a new hire selected by its April 10 board meeting.

The new superintendent will begin July 1, replacing Boyd Keyser, who is retiring after six years in the district.
