Canby Public Library is offering a free genealogy class
The chance to learn how to solve that family mystery or track down long-lost cousins is at hand.
The Canby Public Library will offer a three-part genealogy workshop 10 a.m. – noon, Thursdays, June 5, 12 and 19.
Class teacher Carol Jackson has been a genealogy research consultant for 35 years. The classes will cover basic genealogy principles and skills using the free genealogy site familysearch.org and the Family Tree program available through the website.
Participants will learn to search and attach digital records to their family trees.
Participants are encouraged to bring their own laptops and plan on attending all three sessions. Registration is required and class size is limited.
