Canby Police offer drug drop opportunity April 26

The Canby Police Department will provide residents an opportunity April 26 to get rid of unused and unwanted prescription drugs.

Residents can help prevent pill abuse and theft by turning in their unwanted pills for disposal from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the police station at 1175 NW Third Ave.

This is the eighth turn-in event in three years allowing residents to rid their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused and unwanted prescription drugs.

The free and anonymous service is sponored by Canby Police and the U.S. Drug Enforcement Administration. Only pills or patches should be turned in. The DEA cannot accept liquids, needles or sharps.
