The Canby Adult Center will host two free Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance (SHIBA) informational sessions in April, of interest to anyone about to go on Medicare and in need of information.
The free information sessions are: n Senior Medicare Patrol Presentation Wednesday, April 16, at 11 a.m. at the Canby Adult Center. Working to prevent healthcare fraud, waste, abuse and errors, the Senior Medicare Patrol and Certified Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance volunteer counselors will conduct this presentation How to Prevent Healthcare Fraud and How Not to be a Target of Healthcare Fraud. Certified SHIBA-SMP counselor volunteers will be available to provide free Medicare assistance and information about SMP, helping Seniors to prevent healthcare fraud.
