Plenty is happening around Canby on Thursday

Canby Main Street’s Canby promotions committee is preparing the downtown area for this year’s Spooktacular Village Thursday.

“This is the second year of putting out coordinated marketing for all things ghostly downtown for Halloween,” according to Main Street Manager Jamie Stickel.

“The Spooktacular is a really fun event for all the ghosts and goblins, princesses or heros of all ages downtown,” Stickel said. “This year, we plan to create a coupon that can be given out at the Canby Main Street tent, located on the corner of Holly Street and Second Avenue, that encourages families to come back and patronize the downtown businesses, because we know that parents are mostly focused on their kids for Halloween. It will be a great way to kick off the holiday season.”
