More than 1,100 children, teens and adults have signed on to the 2013 Canby Public Library’s Summer Reading program. Programs and activities continue through Aug. 9. Every child and teen who reads 25 hours receives a free book and every participant is entered into a prize drawing.

by: SUBMITTED - Chicamarimba will provide music for reading party.To honor all children, teens and adults who love to read, the library has scheduled a summer reading party on Saturday, Aug. 17, at 2 p.m. at Wait Park. Sponsored by Roth Heating and Cooling, this free party features marimba music by Chicamarimba and refreshments.

Summer Reading 2013 is made possible by Fred Meyer, the Friends of the Canby Public Library and Roth Heating & Cooling, with additional support from Cutsforth Market Place and various metropolitan businesses.
