Beaverton Family Resource Center closing in June
Loss of funding from Washington County prompts end of 18 years of service
Due to loss of county funding, the Beaverton School District's Family Resource Center, located at the District Administrative Office on Merlo Road, will be closing.
The center has connected Beaverton families with community resources for 18 years.
District officials say that departments and schools will provide a list of updated community services to families in need upon request. Information will also be available via the district website.
The last day of service will be Tuesday, June 10.
Homeless Liaison Lisa Mentesana will continue to provide Title X support services for homeless youth at the Merle Davies building on the Beaverton High School campus. Also, the Clothes Closet and Shoe Box will continue to be a resource for local families in their same location.
