Join a February VIEWS Conversation on Aging

The nonprofit senior organization VIEWS will offer the following Conversations on Aging in February. Older adults are invited to join these free conversations on a variety of topics pertaining to aging.

Engaging with Adult Children — Tuesday, Feb. 11, 10-11:30 a.m. at the Hollywood Senior Center, 1820 N.E. 40th Ave., Portland.

Relationships with children change as we age. Examine current problems and foster greater understanding between generations. Talk about some of your concerns. Come see how helpful a discussion with peers can be. Call Hollywood Senior Center at 503-288-7701 to register.

Heart to Heart: Having End of Life Conversations with Our Loved Ones — Tuesday, Feb. 11, 1-2:30 p.m. at the Juanita Pohl Center, 8513 S.W. Tualatin Road, Tualatin.

We all have concerns about end-of-life care. This conversation will explore some of the life questions that may come up. What is most meaningful in your life now? Who can you talk to about your wishes? How can telling others influence your quality of life? How does that conversation get started? Call the Juanita Pohl Center at 503-691-3061 to sign up.

The Elder Journey — Wednesday, Feb. 19, 10-11:30 a.m. at the Gladstone Senior Center, 1050 Portland Ave., Gladstone.

Talking with Your Doctor — Wednesday, Feb. 19, 10-11:30 a.m. at Calaroga Terrace, 1400 N.E. Second Ave., Portland; and Thursday, Feb. 20, 10-11:30 a.m. at Pioneer Community Center, 615 Fifth St., Oregon City.
